A Peace Run oferece à Diretora da Escola Básica Álvaro Guerra, uma réplica de um Jharna Kala pintado por Sri Chinmoy com o titulo "Amor"
The “Álvaro Guerra” Primary School is part of a project called "Daily Mile" that promotes the practice of running. The students start their day running 1.6 km (one mile). This ceremony reinforced even more how special this project is, naming it the "Peace Mile" route. It shows that students can express Peace in a dynamic and conscious way, transcending their limits and reminding themselves of the importance of inner peace as a way to contribute to a more peaceful world.
A Escola Básica Álvaro Guerra faz parte de um projecto chamado "Daily Mile" que promove a prática da corrida. Os alunos iniciam o seu dia a correr 1,6 km (uma milha), mas esta cerimónia reforçou ainda mais o quanto este projeto é especial, dando o nome a este percurso de "Peace Mile" (milha da paz). Fomentando a que os alunos possam expressar, de uma forma dinâmica e consciente, a Paz, levando-os a autotranscenderem-se e a lembrar-lhes a importância da paz interior como meio para contribuírem para um mundo mais pacífico.

The vice-champion of technical triathlon, André Vilelas, from the Cork-Cortiçadas Athletics Team Club, also receives the Peace Torch.

Our thanks to the City Hall staff who made of Peace Run a reality in Montemor o Novo. Very grateful to Ana Paula and Samuel Cinzas, who were unbeatable. Thanks also to the Primary School cooks of St. John of God Town who offered us an extraordinary meal. We left with a full heart... and a full belly too :)
O nosso agradecimento à equipa da Câmara Municipal que fizeram com que a Peace Run fosse uma realidade em Montemor o Novo. Muito gratos à Ana Paula e ao Samuel Cinzas que foram inexcedíveis.
