All our gratitude to The Hillside Inn and Alpine Inn in Pagosa Springs for generously providing such excellent hospitality.

We began the day with the perfect weather.

The team headed towards the beautiful Animus River Trail to run 5 miles together.

Jorge led us on his first run with the team this year.

Along the trail, we met many enthusiastic and friendly people.

An Australian dog met an Australian peace runner.

and his lovely family held the torch!

The team arrived at the Durango Welcome Center.

Mayor Gilda Yazzie welcomed the team with great fervor and warmth.

We need more volunteer mayors leading our communities like the amazing Gilda Yazzie!

Debbie Shew from St. Mark's Episcopal Church gave a moving speech about the importance of peace.

Thank you Durango residents for the beautiful heartfelt embrace.

We also had a chance to mingle with the locals at the lively farmer's market.

We even got our 15 seconds of fame on their stage!

An inspired Ukrainian-american woman requested to hold the torch with our Russian and Ukrainian runners.

We were so happy to meet Darsi, an avid peace lover and massage therapist. She was eager to help us in any way!

We got to bond with a fun family that sell the most incredible goat milk products by the name of Rogue Goat Soaps.

Bicyclists Becky and Milly greeted us at the start of our very hilly running route for the afternoon miles.

After completing our run, we visited the Colorado Model Railroad Museum

Can we go by train to Utah tomorrow?
