This morning we left Seattle to catch a Ferry boat to Port Angeles in the northern section of the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.
Mahasatya, originally from Poland, just joined the team a few days ago in Seattle. He was very happy to have come in time to experience this very scenic section of the Peace Run in the Northwest.
It was a chilly, windy but scenic ride to the beautiful city of Port Angeles
Once we reached land we started a group run along the impressive Olympic Discovery Trail.
Devendra, from San Diego, California, who just joined the team a few days ago, happily leads the way with the Peace Torch.
The Salish Sea, an inlet of the Pacific Ocean between the U.S.A. in Washington and Vancouver Island in Canada offers spectacular views along the trail.
As usual we meet very kind and friendly people along the way who like the concept of the Peace Run and stop to make a wish or prayer as they hold the Peace Torch.
Nayaja from Italy also just joined us after having spent more than a month on the Peace Run in Europe.
Ahavani, from Chicago, gladly takes the Torch for the first time today since joining us in Seattle.
We finally enter the beautiful seaport city of Port Angeles and end up right at our hotel which we are staying in tonight.
Pransukh, from North Carolina, who has been on this Peace Run since day one in April, share his joy and oneness with the metal bird sculptures by the Red Lion Hotel, located right on the shores of the sea.

The scenic Waterfront Trail behind the hotel is part of the 130 mile long Olympic Discovery Trail where we ran our group run today.

In the early evening we were invited to a homemade dinner by the Rivers family in Port Angeles. Nancy and her daughter, Tessa, hosted us tonight. Michael Rivers unfortunately had another event to attend as a professional musician and the head of a men's choir.
After the most delicious meal, Jake Kalagian and his friend Sarah, who are long time friends of the Rivers family and live across the street, were grateful to join us and make a wish and a prayer for peace.
Jake, who also is the father of two of our Marathon team and Peace Run members now living in New York, Pranlobha and Antara-Prabhat, happily accepts our Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of Nancy Rivers and her family.
We are vey grateful to Michael, Nancy and Tessa RIvers for their hospitality and delicious meal this evening as well as the company of Jake Kalagian and his friend Sarah. It is very encouraging and uplifting to spend some time with good friends even for a short time as we travel over 60 miles a day on our journey of 10,000 miles around North America.
Back at the hotel on the shores of Port Angeles the sun was setting and a large Ferry boat called the Coho, pulled into shore next to our hotel. It happens to be the same Ferry boat we will take to get across the sea to Victoria, Canada tomorrow morning and begin some of our events in Canada.
