Similar to yesterday, today was a tale of two teams.
The first team began in Gosford and ran to Ettalong Beach to get on a ferry to Palm Beach.
According to all of the team members, running with Joe Ward was a very inspiring experience.
Abhijatri was only going to run 2 km but was so inspired by Joe he ended up covering 8 km.
We were deeply honoured to be able to present Joe Ward with the Peace Run Torch-Bearer award. Joe is a stellar runner who has won many races including the gruelling 2022 Coast to Kosciuszko race.
In his role as a running coach, he continually strives to uplift people and inspire them to be their very best.
Joe also works with Special Olympics athletes. giving them a chance to experience something new and fulfiling.
We wish Joe all the very best and hope that he will be able to join the Peace Run many times in the the future.

The boys then took the Manly Ferry whilst Grahak drove the van across Sydney Harbour Bridge.
We gave Bayarkhuu a huge rich birthday cookie which he was only too glad to share.
Meanwhile the women's team had a run through the lovely Royal National Park, again accompanied by super excellent ultra runner Annabel Hepworth.
Harita seemed to be all smiles to be back in Australia and on the Peace Run.
Our first engagement was at Otford Public School.

The boys' team made it to My Rainbow-Dreams - a delicious vegetarian café in Dickson, Canberra inspired by Sri Chinmoy. We are looking forward to many exciting engagements in Canberra tomorrow.
