Rostock

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 7.0 km

We spent a good nights rest in Rostock. A big "Thank You" to the Hotel Ibis...

..the InterCity Hotel...

...the Jellyfish Hostel....

...and the team of the "HotelSportforum Rostock" for hosting our runners!

Anothe big hand to the Rogge family for their hospitality!

Our first visit of the day brought us to the primary school in Elmenhorst-Lichtenhagen.

An enthusiastic welcome...

..peace can be felt in the heart...

...autograph time...

Thank you Elmenhorst-Lichtenhagen for the great welcome!

...next was the CJD Christophorusschule Rostock.

Students from the high school received us on the school yard.

...we passed the torch....

..and a dynamic run...

Thank you for the nice meeting!

We went next door to the "CJD Christophorus" primary school.

..it was a real surprise meeting, as the school was not on our agenda.

...two new friends from the Ukraine...

...the kids explained us their well documented school trips...

Roger enjoyed his return to the very primary school he attended as a kid.

...a relaxing afternoon...

The guild house in Rostock....

...at the city hall a city representative of Rostock welcomed our team.

Runners from 1. LAV Rostock and the SG FIKO Rostock took the torch and carried it on a symbolic run through the historic, old part of Rostock.

...the "Steintor" - the stone-gate of the city.

...the final steps...

Thank you Rostock for the nice day! It was time for our team to say good bye to Germany for this year's Peace Run. All our gratitude to the runners, organisers and all the people who gave us such a great time!
