Pokara

Reported by Devashishu Torpy 5.0 km

Early in the morning we go up to Sarangkot, a lookout point from where you can watch the sun rise over the Himalayas.

Pramodh observes a few moments of silence as dawn awakens.

Our Japanese runners.

In the background the faint outline of the snowy Himalayan peaks - the Annapurna range.

Our first meeting is at Oxford School. We visited this school two years ago.

Our very capable host is Rashani Sharma.

These two young ladies are from The Netherlands. They are doing voluntary work assisting in schools.

Everyone joins in the actions that go with the World Harmony Run song.

Anuska and her team perform a dance.

The painting on the wall of the school is of Saraswati.

Kanyaka is our Balinese runner.

We run into Pokhara Academy, a school set in the most beautiful landscape on the outskirts of Pokhara.

The Principal of Pokhara Academy.

Second from left is Chairman of the Board, a former Gurkha soldier.

The school offers us a delicious lunch.

Rebel with a cause (on a Royal Enfield motorbike).

We arrive at Mount Annapurna School.

The Plate Dance.

Homagni works the crowd.

Unpeaceful behaviour.

Everyone does the Kangaroo Hop.
