Finally we reached the mountains. after a nice start in Murau we reached Ramingstein.
The primary school gave us a warm welcome.
Villages are small in the mountains; and so are schools. But because there are only small numbers of kids we can easily connect with them...
...what is a Peace Run meeting without running?
Thank you Ramingstein for the heartfelt welcome!
...we went on to Seetal near Tamsweg. The whole school has only 13 kids!!!
...a musical welcome...
The mayor from Tamsweg joined the meeting as well...
...and participated enthusiastically!
Thank you for receiving the torch!
...a symbolic Run around the sport field...
The kids prepared a gigantic peace dove!
Thomas, our today's coordinator, enjoyed his workout...
Thank you Seetal for the enthusiastic welcome!
...it seems people pray a lot here before they enter the bus...
Mariapfarr was next...
The primary school lined up for High Five!
A real joyful meeting...
The kids attached little paper birds with greeting messages to the balloons!
The balloons were airborn.
...a school yard stampede...
Thank you Mariapfarr for the great welcome!
Ready for the climb...
...our two ultra-distance heroes...
The "Obertauern" was calling...
Raquel and Piloo on their final steps...
We reached the top!
We arrived in Radstadt...
The "Pierre de Coubertin BORG Radstadt" was next!
the students gave us high fives!
The principal welcomed us with kind words...
The students performed for us. It was really excellent!
We taught them our song!
A great Run around the school!
...also the principal took part...
Thank you Radstadt for the heartfelt welcome!
In the evening we drove back to Murau for a local event. The city invited us for the opening of their local "Lauftreff" - a regular project to encourage citizens to run!
