..we arrived in one of Bulgaria's historic places: Kalofer.

...we climbed the stairs to the monument of the national hero of Bulgaria: Hristo Botev.

Plovdiv is one of Europe's oldest cities and an old Roman settlement. Another name is also "Philippoplis", named after Philip, the father of Alexander the Great...

...it was real fun to run through the city...

..we arrived at the main square. An exhibition about the Peace Run was on display...

Mr. Georgi Tityukov, Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv, received the flaming peace torch on behalf of the ancient city!
