The women's team stayed at the Best Western in New Albany, MS. where one room was donated and the other discounted. Thank you very much for your kindness.

We finally made it to the state border to Mississippi. We were delighted to run along Magnolia trees along the way. So beautiful, all blooming with their gorgeous flowers.

After we were finished with our miles, we arrived in Tupelo, MS. where the famous singer Elvis Presley was born. We visited the museum where they have the house where Elvis lived as a child and the church where his parents brought him to worship. He lived in Tupelo until he was 13 yrs old, then his parents moved to Memphis, TN.

We also went to visit Johnnies's Drive In, the restaurant that Elvis used to visit as a child. We sat at his favorite booth in the diner. We would like to thank Mananya for treating the women's team with delicious milkshakes and fries.

Salil found the hardware store where Elvis bought his first guitar on January 8, 1946 he was only 11 yrs old. He would later designate Rock and Roll.

Mr. Travis Beard, City Council Ward 3, enthusiastically greets our Executive Director, Salil Wilson and the rest of the team. He also offered a beautiful, soulful prayer wishing for our safety and our message of peace to be delivered to the world at large.

After our ceremony we headed outside to share the torch and give the opportunity for the students to make their own wish for world peace.

The fun continued following the peace train. Everybody loves it and its fun for the kids when our teammate Arpan makes the sound of the locomotive with his harmonica. All aboard!!!

Thank you so much for having us. We really enjoyed being at your Boys and Girls Club.
