Tallinn - Paide

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 110.0 km

Welcome to Estonia!

Tallinn, the old Baltic city, greeted us from afar...

...a group of runners and our local coordinators awaited us in the harbor...

...the first steps through the capital...

...and some sightseeing....

...now it was time for some mileage...

...soon after we arrived in the Öko village in Lilleoru. Toivo Aalja carried the torch...

...the greeting bell...

..the "Kali - Gate" of welcome...

...passing a Tipi. The whole area is most beautifully arranged in the shape of a "flower of life"...

Ingvar Villido gave us a profound introduction into the activities of their spiritual community.

...a group picture in front of the "Bell of Silence"...

...all people present passed the torch and offered a wish for peace....

...very nice refreshments...

Thank you for the inspiring meeting!

...we went on and reached Kose. A group of runners, lead by the head of the community council, Dr. Uno Silberg, awaited us and carried the torch into Kose.

Spectators and a brass band welcomed us on the main square...

...despite the afternoon heat a group of traditional dancers performed for us...

Mrs. Merle Pussak, the mayor of Kose, received the torch...

...many happy faces in Kose...

...checking the running route...

...during the group picture taken the brassband noticed the song on the back of our banner. Spontaneously they performed the "World Harmony Run - Song" for us!

...Patricia served choccolate cookies...

Thank you Kose for the enthusiastic welcome!

...a step for peace...

...reaching Paide...

..more local runners joined in...

In Paide as in all other places in Estonia you find cute traditional wooden houses...

...another musical welcome at the sporthall...

Mr. Priit Värk, the mayor of Paide, received us with kind words....

Thank you Paide for the hospitality!
