Ubatuba - Paraty

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 72.0 km

We arrived in our first meeting, and met a few nice kids...

Thank you for the spontaneous meeting!

Our second meeting brought us to the Tamar Project in Ubatuba. The Tamar Project protects five species of endangered sea turtles along the Brazilian Atlantic coast.

In 19 places along the coast the young turtles are released into the Ocean after hatching...

These giants turtles are a big attraction...

...we presented the Peace Run to the staff of the Tamar Project in Ubatuba...

Thank you for this really inspiring meeting!

Tojesa's new running style...

...this is one way how new Peace Runners are hatching....

We met in Ubatuba a very inspiring man, Gady Gonzalez.
Gady is the leader of a project called "Ubatubasim" , which is a movement that inspires people from the city to be active in a positive way. The movement involves already 50.000 people!

...Gady was leading us through the Brazilian rain...

We presented Gady with the "Torch Bearer Award" for his tireless efforts and outstanding inspiration he offers to thousands of people!

Thank you for meeting us!

...finally it was time to run...

...beautiful nature along the way...

Eduardo was speeding...

Jorge got the uphill....

...its great to cool down your feet after the run....

...Maria Iracema and Elizianne enjoyed the lonely road...

The Brazilian rain forest was omnipresent. What a great day!
