We started the day with the wonderful opportunity of sharing the ideals of the Peace Run with members of Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament.

Iceland-based pop singer Jógvan Hansen joined us in taking the Torch and making a wish for peace in the world...

After passing the Torch, the MPs shared joined hands around the Torch, symbolizing their commitment to the cause of peace.

The Torch was then passed to Ambassador Petur Petersen and Jógvan Hansen, who led the group in symbolic steps for peace.
Friðarkyndillinn var þá afhentur Petri sendiherra og Jógvani, sem leiddu hópinn í að stíga nokkur táknræn skref í þágu friðar.
After the ceremony everyone is all smiles.

Petur and Jógvan then led the Team on a run to the Faroese Embassy, conveniently located close by.

The Peace Run presented Ambassador Petur Petersen, the Embassy workers and Jógvan Hansen, with special Peace Run mugs.

Our day ended with a trip to ice-cream store Joylato, where we were treated to ice-cream by friend and Peace Run organizer Pranava.
Daginum lauk á því að vinur okkar Pranava, sem hefur margoft tekið þátt í skipulagningu Friðarhlaupsins, bauð okkur upp á ís í ísbúð sinni Joylato.
The ice-cream is made with liquid nitrogen, which is quite a spectacle.
Ísinn er gerður með fljótandi köfnunarefni, sem er mikið fyrir augað.
And tastes extremely good!
