Reykhólar - Stykkishólmur

Reported by Salil Wilson 137.0 km

A cloudy day presented itself to us this morning.

Það var skýjað þegar við lögðum í hann.

Suren started on the long road to 137 km for the team.

Suren lagði upp í 137 km vegferð liðsins.

Already you can see he was tired.

Og var strax orðinn þreyttur.

Natabara came out with a spring in his step.

Natabara hljóp hratt.

Salil ran 8 km with Helga, a local farmer who came and ran with us.

Salil hljóp 8km með Helgu, bónda á Erpsstöðum.

That's Helga with her 11 year old daughter Tania and friend.

Hér má sjá Helgu ásamt 11 ára dóttur sinni Töniu og vini hennar.

Helga owns a dairy farm and we decided to drive a little off route and get some of her famous icecream and cheese.

Eftir athöfnina ákváðum við að koma við á Erpsstöðum til að smakka hina víðfrægu ísa og osta Helgu.

Pierre meets some Helga's new additions to her family of dairy cows.

Pierre og kýrnar.

These calfs are about 10 weeks old.

Þessir kálfar eru um 10 vikna gamlir.

Tania introduced us to her cute little lamb.

Tania kynnti okkur fyrir lambinu sínu.

Edyta enjoys her blueberry icecream.

Edyta nýtur bláberjaíssins síns.

Some of the dairy cows.

Sumar mjólkurkúnna.

Back on the road again.

Og þá var aftur hlaupið.

Smiles when finishing the last miles.

Salil er eitt bros þegar hann lýkur hlaupi dagsins.

There was a zip line outside our accommodation last night and we could resist a few goes.

Við stóðumst ekki mátið að leika okkur í dagslok.

Special thanks to Hótel Stykkishólmur for providing us with a special meal.

Kærar þakkir Hótel Stykkishólmur fyrir dásamlegan kvöldmat!

Stykkishólmur at 9.00 pm.

Stykkishólmur um 9-leytið.

Stykkishólmur light house.

Vitinn.
