Aug. 4, 2014 Live from the road

Ottawa, ON - Quebec

Reported by Sandro Zincarini 32.0 km

Our first school was the Ecole Maria-Goretti, in Thurso.

Soon we went into action...

Feeling peace in the heart...

The children love to run around the school!

Devaki, our local coordinator for this event, offers her wishes for peace.

Time to play!

We finished with a choreographic group photo.

Moments of relaxation on the side of the road.

And moments of reflection.

Running to our next destination.

Running past wide open spaces and farmlands.

With fewer miles to run we sometimes enjoy running our miles together.

On we run...

Running into our next ceremony...

...to our next school: l'Ecole Providence in St. Andre-Avellin.

The children attentively watch our presentaton

While they are running around the school...

...he is running, singing, playing the harmonica and, occasionally, taking a breath. Go Arpan!

Holding the torch.

Thank you!

Running into our last meeting.

We met the summer camp children at Chalet des Loisirs, in St. Remi d'Amhurst, who cheerfully welcomed us.

Smiling faces.

Buongiorno!

We 'staged' a ceremony for them...

Joining the World Harmony Run song.

And finally off for a run with the children as usual!

Most of the time we see so much joy and excitement in the children as they get a chance to hold the torch and think of something peaceful.

Thank you for receiving the Peace Run!

A goodbye present for Amburoha, who has to leave us soon. We are grateful for all of her support and hard work on the run since she joined us in Vancouver.

While at the Meach Lake in Gatineau we met a very nice Russian family. They all held the torch enthusiastically, making a very nice ending to our long day.

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
