July 28, 2016 Live from the road

London, ON - Hamilton, ON

Reported by Homagni Baptista, Pierre Lantuas 74.0 km

We started the day fully rejuvenated after staying a night at the Days Inn in London. They graciously donated rooms for the whole team. Many thanks!

Welcome Pushparani, our new runner from Canada.

Olivia, our dear runner from Mexico, came to join us for the second time this year.

We had a very inspiring meeting this morning with Race Roster. They are a company that provides registration and results services for running races around the world.

Chantell and Robbie are the founders of Race Roster. They shared with us some running stories.

The whole staff came to meet us and to know a bit more about the Peace Run.

We then had a special meeting in a peace park in London.

We had the honor of meeting the father of Pushparani our Canadian runner.

We then ran to our third ceremony of the day in the Woodman Park Community Centre in Brantford.

The children prepared a lot of peace torches before we arrived and offered them to us as gifts.

We played the guess my country game.

Our peace songs were a big hit.

Every one got a chance to hold the torch and to make a wish for world peace.

Running is always a highlight.

We continued to our last ceremony of the day in Brantford at the Johnson Community Center.

The ceremony was really fun and because of the cultural diversity of the children, we actually had an opportunity to guess where the children came from.

The team members are becoming skits experts.

They also sang a thank you song for us.

The team offered the Johnson Community Center an artwork on Peace by the founder Sri Chinmoy and a certificate of appreciation.

And sure enough we had a little run around the park.

This little girl said she's from a country that starts with the letter I and is famous for its mediterranean food, can you guess where she is from?

And we took a few minutes to share wishes for world peace.

Thanks for your most enthusiastic welcome!

The Healthy Rabbit Cafe offered us a delicious meal. Justin, the owner, introduced us to all his international staff. The restaurant attracts a lot of peace loving souls.

Justin the owner is actually a triathlete.

And he has some most interesting running shoes.

To conclude the day, we drove a few miles South to be able to enjoy one of the world most famous natural wonders of the world.

The Niagara Falls.

The feeling in front of the falls is one of an extraordinary power.

We saw the Sri Chinmoy International Peace Falls plaque inaugurated in 1992.

The view of the Falls from the top is no less impressive.
