In the morning, the team crossed the border into the US to visit Vivekananda Cottage in the Thousand Islands Park, New York. Swami Vivekananda was an eloquent and inspiring Indian spiritual figure who travelled from India to attend the very first Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893. He proved to be a very popular figure at the event, preaching tolerance between all religions.
In 1895 he gave a series of talks over 7 weeks at this particular cottage. The premises is still a place of spiritual pilgrimage.

The team and other visitors enjoyed a peaceful meditation on the grounds.
Our Canadian friends Gautumi, Prapti and Brahmata kindly brought lunch for everyone.
We enjoyed our visit to the cottage very much.
Passers-by wished us well.
After lunch, the team crossed the border once again and ran to Perth in Ontario.
We were spoiled with views of magnificent sparkling waters along the way.
It was a particularly warm afternoon.

Our deepest gratitude goes to John at Mal's Camping in Lanark for so kindly hosting the team at his beautiful camp ground in the evening. John appears in the photo with his son Rowan and some of the team.
