Gwen Madiba

She is the founder of the nonprofit organization Equal Chance, which focuses on issues such as homelessness, food security, employment, human rights, mental health, and well-being of the most vulnerable members in the black community throughout Canada and the world, creating countless programs and projects.

She is UNICEF’s first goodwill ambassador for the country of Gabon in Africa and is actively committed to the promotion of children’s rights in that country, as well as fighting for better education and protection against violence for Gabonese children.

She was instrumental in helping vulnerable minorities in Ukraine and in bringing their stories to light. She established The Meals for Hope project which fed many during the pandemic. Furthermore, she has also established education funds for orphan children and raised money to give them education.

Gwen believes we can achieve anything when we have faith in a higher power.
She says: “It takes one person and one decision to positively change the life of others. It doesn’t matter what people say, it only matters what is in your heart”.

She has faced many difficulties and challenges in her life using them as a stepping stone of hope and inspire others to reach their potential.
