Our first visit today is at Holy Family School in Wanaka.
We love their fruit tree with all its wonderful qualities - similar to the Peace Tree that we have been carrying along the route of the Peace Run.
These boys lead us to the assembly hall and introduce the team to everyone. Thank you!
We only have the girls' team for this school presentation as the mens' team have to go to another appointment.

The students have a very good idea about what peace means and give us some really good words like love, faith, honesty.
...and participate in our song very enthusiastically.

It is another rainy day - we are soaked as soon as we start running.
We gets lots of encouragement from drivers when they see us running.
The hills are misty but the scenery is beautiful.
In the meantime the mens' team visit Dart River Adventures in Glenorchy and designate it as a Sri Chinmoy Peace Blossom.
Dart River Adventures is a part of Ngai Tahu Tourism, and as such has a close relationship with the environment.
They accept a plaque which describes the significance of the Mt Aspiring/Tititea area and the importance of Dart River Adventures in introducing visitors to it.
The plaque will be placed in a prominent position in the Visitors Centre.

There is a magnificent piece of pounamu on display in the centre, which visitors are encouraged to touch.

For 2 nights we are hosted by our friend Tim Townsend and his family. They are so very kind to let us stay in their house in Wanaka. We feel totally at home there. Thank you so much for your kindness!!
