Martyn Lambe, the Valley Recreation Director, kindly waived the fee for our team's overnight stay and organized this ceremony.

Roger offered some heartfelt words; "We can all make a difference and it does come from within, it starts small perhaps. That's one thing I've learned from being on Town Council for as long as I have, that it's an opportunity to give back. We are so blessed to live in this country, I am very grateful."

Zoe Jebb, the Economic Development Officer, was so encouraging and enthusiastic! She organised a meeting with some of her contacts in Miniota right on the spot. She also sent our team off with juice boxes. Thank you, Zoe!

A group of small children from the Miniota Discovery Learning Centre eagerly awaited the arrival of the Peace Run, so we had a spontaneous "sidewalk ceremony."
