Athens, GA - Atlanta, GA

Some of our teammates spent the night with Dan and Kate, long time friends of the Peace
Run. Thank you to both of you for your gracious hospitality.

And thank you to the Graduate Athens Hotel for the excellent accommodations. Our team slept really well.

Morning began early for the first team on the road. The assignment was to run 32 miles before lunch.

Passing the torch...

and enjoying the camaraderie as Santiva prepares to begin her section of the 32 miles.

She met a cook along the way who wondered about making a difference in the world while cooking.

Meanwhile, the second team arrived at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir. We received an invitation to attend the Diwali Festival of Lights Ceremony.

After the ceremony, the team enjoyed sharing the torch with fellow Diwali attendees and staged some races with young peace enthusiasts.

Young hindus already know the value of sharing and giving. The young friends easily shared the torch with each other. They would be welcome teammates on the road across America.

Thank you from the team including a Jharna Kala print.

The Peace Run team is so thankful to Mitesh Patel, Dr. Kalpesh Patel, Dr. Uday Pankh, and Pinkesh Patel for the graciousness and goodwill.

We are here...

The whole team is able to come together at the BAPS Mandir. Our gracious hosts then provided an amazing meal for us at the BAPS Shayona.

Yummy curry, rice and masala chai. Excellent!

Then the womens team was given a tour by Jaibala Rabal. She was an excellent and gracious example of how peace and self giving can bring satisfaction in life.

The afternoon runners begin their day while the morning team is able to spend time visiting the Mandir.

We meet new friends today in Atlanta. Peace is meant for everyone.

We finished our day with an excellent meal from R Thomas Deluxe Grille.

Thank you for your hospitality.

On our exit, we were greeted by many exotic birds. A greet sendoff for the day.

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
