Sunrise over the ocean proves we have made it to the East Coast!

A big thank you to Hilton Garden Inn Milford for accommodating our whole team for our second-to-last night on the road! Pictured holding the Certificate of Appreciation is General Manager, Emilio With the torch is Maria, and to her right Gazmend. All were very enthusiastic to support our cause!

Our first visit of the day was to Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, where we were most enthusiastically joined for the second time by Connecticut State Senator, Tony Hwang. The last time he joined us was also at the same location, back in 2018. Tony is originally from Taiwan, which these smart kids easily guessed.

One of our long standing local Peace Run coordinators, Bikashita Hass, introduced the team and Tony Hwang.

A big thank you to all the camp councillors!

Tony Hwang is passionate about connecting with his local community!

Peace Runners!

Tony was also very enthusiastic to participate in passing the torch with the children ;)

We were really happy to be joined by local runner, Max Caciotti, pictured here holding the torch with his mother, Yolanda. Max first came in contact with The Peace Run when we visited his school 2 years ago, and this time he wanted to run with us- thank you Max!

Our traditional stop at Stew Leonards Grocery Store in Norwalk, where we always receive a warm welcome from staff and local City and State Representatives. Thank you Stew Leonards!

Norwalk Mayor, Harry Rilling, pictured centre, has welcomed our team and shared his passion for serving his local community in the Peace Run spirit many times. Thank you Mayor Rilling- your support means a lot to us all!

Connecticut State Senator Bob Duff, pictured speaking, has also come out to show his support many times also- Thank you Senator Duff for your inspired words! Also pictured between Mayor Rilling and Senator Duff is Greg Burnett, member of the Norwalk Common Council. Thank you also for coming to show your support for Peace!

Stamford!

We were delighted to meet Stamford Mayor, Caroline Simmons as our final official meeting of the day.

This was our first time meeting Mayor Simmons, and hopefully will not be our last!

Todorka from Macedonia introduces herself ;)

Offering our Certificate of Appreciation to the City of Stamford.

This year we have met with many wonderfully dedicated Mayors all around the United Staes and Canada who have given us great encouragement in the goodness of humanity. Mayor Simmons was last but definitely not least- thank you for taking the time to meet with us and so enthusiastically support peace!

Nidrahara Rhodes has been a long time supporter of the Peace Run- in her younger days she also used to come out on the road and also help to organize our accommodation- she pioneered the idea of asking hotels to sponsor us for a night- we are extremely grateful for that!!!

We were happy to meet Ramiro from Guatemala!

Heading to the Ocean!

We found this bench dedicating a "Sri Chinmoy Peace Grove" of trees ;)

The ideal end to a hot day of Peace Running...

It has been a tradition for many years that we spend our last night on the road celebrating the end of the run with a meal and party at the beautiful home of Nidrahara Rhodes and Nripal Peterson in Stamford. Here Salil is pictured telling some stories and thanking them for all their support over the years!

The cake!

Many of our team members drove up to Connecticut from New York to join the celebration!

What a wonderful team! A statue of Peace Run founder, Sri Chinmoy stands in the centre. In reality this large group is only part of our great team of runners and coordinators from all over the United States, Canada and the world who made this Peace Run so special- All our gratitude to the thousands and thousands of individuals who offered their hearts yearning for peace and joined our Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run Family!

All the parades of the world  God has carefully watched.  Now He wants to watch proudly  Only one parade:  The parade of the peace-flooded  Oneness-world-family.

-Sri Chinmoy
