Tumut, NSW - Wagga Wagga, NSW

Zapsal/a Susan Marshall 114.0 km

We began our day at the Falling Leaf Family Fun Run.

Jordan Maki, organiser of the Falling Leaf Festival introduced the Peace Run before the race started. Jordan is with the Tumut Trotters Running Club – a small but enthusiastic group who reap the benefits of living in the Snowy Mountains region.

Sarankhuu ran the 5km and placed third ...

... while Edgars placed fourth – also carrying the Peace Torch.

Team A then stayed on to get decorated with pink, orange, blue and green chalk in the Colour Run.

Sarankhuu was adorned with the Peace Run logo.

A swim in the Adelong falls washed most of it off.

Team B carried on to run through the Wantabadgery Area.

We completed our run into Wagga and visited the Wagga Zoo and Aviary – free for all guests, maintained by the Wagga Wagga Council. The staff gave us a tour, introducing us to a friendly dingo, one tame snake, two polite emus, one missing wombat, three spotted deer, five tiny kangaroos and two dusty camels.

Tonight we have most generously appointed lodgings at Seven Inn with hosts Pooja and Varun ...

... the Boulevard Motor Inn ...

... and Wagga’s Best Accommodation AirBnB.
