Good morning Herzberg! We started our day in the "Elsterlandgrundschule"...

...and the city representative together with the principal received the torch...

...we reached Schönewalde.
...the greeting committee...
...children from the "Otto Nagel" primary school awaited us...
...together we reached their school...
...flowers for the visitors...
...the mayor of Schönewalde welcomed our team and passed the torch to the kids....
...a big Thank You to our local organisers!
The children took turns by classes to run around the schoolyard....
...and the other kids gave the runners High Five....

We reached Jüterbog.
Children from the primarz school greeted us...
...and after some refreshments we went on to the cityhall.
The mayor welocmed our runners...
We did a brief presentation in front of the city hall...
...and the mayor gave us a quick tour through the historic building.

...we reached the monastery in Zinna. A very peaceful place...
...a heartfelt welcome....
...and next was Luckenwalde. Children form the Kita "Burg" lined up!
...a colorful welcome in the afternoon heat....
...peace doves were released...
...and the mayor welcomed us with a very special gift!

Trebbin was next: the mayor and a group of runners awaited us....
...and together we ran to the day care school "die Gartenkinder".

We reached Berlin.
Our last meeting of the day: Volkmar Scholz (right) and Lennart Sponnar welcomed our runners.
Volkmar is former world record holder and multiple German champion in walking. Nowadays he is coach of many top athletes and a real legend in the track and field world.
Lennart is multiple Berlin champion in 10.000m running.
The last km of the day brought us to the Happiness Heart Cafe, where we were treated for an excellent dinner!
