We started our day in Bayreuth. The city representative for sport, Mr. Möckel, lit the torch.

Today our Run led us through the "Franken" - region!
Our next meeting brought us to Eckersdorf. Mrs. Pichl, the mayor of Eckersdorf, gave us a warm welcome.

...we were invited to attend a typical German traditional "Kirmes". People eat and drink and have a pleasant time with live music - usually a brass band!
