Our core team with our Tampa hosts along with Cathy Oerter and her good friend Lesley Bush. We are very grateful to Tilvila (red shirt) and her wonderful staff who fed us with delicious food for a few meals while we were in the Tampa area.

Inside the beautiful Consciousness-Blossoms Restaurant in Palm Harbor near Tampa.

Dennis is always ready to eat good food.

Prakhara did a great job coordinated ceremonies at some of the schools and getting us some media coverage as well.

Our last group photo after we were treated to a great breakfast at Tilvila's restaurant, Consciousness Blossoms, before our long journey.

A sample of some of the great artwork and peace poetry we received from the children in the schools we visited in the Tampa area yesterday.

At Safety Harbor City Hall there was a wonderful display of the art of Sri Chinmoy, called Jharna-Kala, or 'Fountain-Art.'

Information about Sri Chinmoy and his work for peace through art, athletics, music and meditation is displayed at the gallery as well as a list of galleries worldwide where his paintings have been on display.

Many colorful paintings for World Harmony were displayed here.

Lesley soaks in the colors and Light from the paitings.

A bust of the artist, Sri Chinmoy, who is also the Founder of the Peace Run.

Jahrna-Kala paintings adorn all the walls of this museum.

Looking for a new car for the Peace Run Team.

Because of our extended runs to Mexico and Canada this year, we have to compensate for the extra time by driving to some destinations on our days off. Today we drove to Fort Walton Beach from Tampa to start our journey towards the Mississippi River. Hayden, a mechanic at a Ford dealership, helped to fix a leaking tire on our R.V. camper van.

Our R.V. also ran out of gas on the highway. This gentleman, Abel Gutierrez, saw me jogging on the highway with this gasoline can and stopped to take me to a gas station then bring me back as well. We are eternally grateful to good samaritans like Abel who make this world a more peaceful and happy place by helping others in need.

We are very grateful to the La Quinta Inn of Tampa for offering very nice rooms to the men's team last night. Having such a nice place to stay and rest is important in our long journey around North America.
