Kammern - Kalwang

Reported by Dipavajan Renner

We started our local Austrian Peace Run today in the "Liesingtal"; the mountain region in the North of Styria.

This part of Austria is very low populated, so we could enjoy a very peaceful Run through the countryside...

our first meeting brought us to the primary school in Kammern. The kids awaited us at the gates...

..and mayor Dobnigg, an old friend of the Peace Run, gave us a warm welcome.

Peace can be felt in the heart....

...the stickers are real collectors items...

...the mayor led the children on a short loop around the school...

Asterix, the adopted school cat, is everyones favorite...

The children and the mayor planted together with us a peace tree.

...everyone helped...

Thank you Kammern for the nice meeting!

...we went on to Mautern. The primary school gave us a hearty welcome....

..all the kids passed the torch...

...once around the school...

Thank you Mautern!

The nature in this part of Austria is really beautiful. You can still find cristal-clear lakes...

..and untouched nature.....

..we reached Kalwang.

The primary school in Kalwang was our last meeting of the day.

..the stamps go everywhere...

...the kids planted another peace tree and song a nice tree-song for us....

Thank you Kalwang for the joyful event!
