Minsk - Baranovichi

Reported by Dipavajan Renner 168.0 km

Little did we know that a very busy day was awaiting us. We left Minsk behind and reached soon Dzerzhinsk.

Runners were placed along the road...

...a formidable traffic jam...

We reached the main square. People lined up to greet our runners...

The traditional bread - a token of hospitality.

..performances...

The district representative of Dzerzhinsk welcomed our runners and received the torch....

...country guessing...

Olga couldn't resist...

After performing for us the kids offered us gifts...

A final symbolic run around the main square...

Thank you Dzerzhinsk for the great welcome!

Meanwhile our second team reached Stolbtsy.

The traditional costumes of the region are really nice and colorful....

The city representative welcomed us with kind words...

...soon we reached the sport field in Stolbtsy for a second meeting.

Thank you Stolbtsy for the welcome!

At the entrance of Nesvizh our team re-united and we were joined by local runners...

Despite the afternoon-heat many people came to greet the team....

Nesvizh is a historical city with an interresting past...

We felt very welcomed!

The city representative received us with kind words...

...and he passed the torch on to the people...

...the Peace Run has an outstanding media coverage in Belarus!

...we were treated for a most welcome lunch!

Thank you Nesvizh for the heartfelt welcome!

At the city sign of Baranovichi a group of runners from the "Run4Fun" running club greeted us.

It was a real fun-run through the city. We enjpyed every step!

..the last steps...

We passed the torch to the city representative...

Thank you Baranovichi for the great Run!

We were invited for a surprise dinner with friends of Olga.

Thank you for the hospitality!

Our last meeting of the day brought us to the Chabarok children summer camp near Baranovichi.

Children from the whole country and even from Russia where there...

Everything was well documented...

...presentation of the Peace Run....

...and we tought the children our "World Harmony Run - Song"...

...we passed the torch...

And the kids perfromd for us!

A highlight was Olga's daughter, who happened to be in the camp, too.

..never run out of gifts if you have many kids around you!

The kids joined us on our way running out...

It took some time to say good bye...

...many photos, smiles and "High Fives" later it was time to leave...

Thank you for the great fun!
