Berlin

Reported by Carlos Alberto Ramos De La Vega, Grahak Cunningham 21.0 km

Our first meeting was in the Rudolf - Stainer School in Berlin and then in the Europa-Kindergarten. We enjoyed it very much, but we couldn't take any photos there.

The next on our program was the visit of the Gandarva Loka shop.

We met a few children here too.

The Moldovan Embassy staff and ambassador were lovely and hosted us in their room full of traditional Moldovan products.

Berlin, Berlin...

Lunch was kindly supplied by Hofbrau Restaurant.

The runners visited the famous Mauermuseum at Checkpoint Charlie. Full of the original artifacts and history of the divisive wall that separated East and West Berlin. There were many interesting ways people crossed illegally and dangerously. Hot air balloons, tunnels, car bonnets, speaker boxes. You name it people tried it. The reunification of Germany was a victory of oneness and thanks to leaders like Nobel Peace Laureate Mikhail Gorbachev happened more peacefully than ever expected.

Many thanks to Mrs. Hildebrandt for inviting us to this very special museum.

This is the original remains of the Berlin wall.

We visited the room of silence where people are invited to meditate here and reflect on peace. It’s just next to the Brandenburg Gate.

Our final stop was the Global Stones. A selection of sculpted stones that represents a light linking all continents and hearts.

The Radha Govinda Temple served us dinner in their ambient ashram.

Yummy, hmmm
