The International Peace Run team prepare for their virtual run through Ireland.

The Irish Peace Run team offer their gratitude.

“I had my first contact with Peace Run and, in a inner way, with its founder Sri Chinmoy in 2011. I didn't hesitate to accept the invitation to hold the torch because I immediately identified myself with the message of the run. Sri Chinmoy has left a great heritage all over the world. Peace Run is a worldwide event that touches many hearts and I believe that peace begins in each one of us.
Sri Chinmoy gave me the inspiration to create my association, which aims to promote harmony, inclusion and peace through sports.
I believe that, after touching the Peace Torch and feeling the strength of its creator Sri Chinmoy, something begins and from there each of us can be a better person and make the world a better place.”

Commission with the Local Hero
award in 2018

"Even though I never had the privilege to personally meet Sri Chinmoy, his work is timeless and keeps inspiring through the Peace Run, as it keeps spreading his message all over the world. I believe those that come in contact with the peace run feel the harmony and take it with them into their daily life, with the desire to keep it present and make it grow. This is the true inspiration and the beginning of all positive change, it’s the spark within us."
