Cernavoda - Harsova

Reported by Gordana Petrovčić 66.0 km

Our morning begins with a smile! :)

If we get lost we just call the phone numbers on this small paper and we will be saved! :)

First steps of today...

As we arrived at the local football club, the kids were waiting for us.

We presented The Peace Run ...

...and played a few games with the kids...

..the kids did very well in the country guessing game...

...as well in the peace exercise.

...peace and joy can be felt in the heart...

Everyone got a chance to hold the torch...

The torch working its magic, it makes everyone smile...

One lap around the training field....

Thank you so much Cernavoda for a great meeting! We will be back for sure!

We continued our journey to the next meeting...

The village representatives of Seimeni were welcoming our international team...

...short presentation...

...full of joy...

The representative of the Village Hall received the torch...

While some of us were enjoying some nice gifts...

...some were planning a route..

Thank you so much for a nice meeting!

We said goodbye to our new friends and continued running towards our next destination...

To be a peace runner you need a torch, a pair of legs and friendly heart.

We wanted to try an alternative transportation method, the only problem was that we could not fit the whole team.

Our Run through Romania led us through the most beautiful landscapes.

Cows everywhere...

...here and there we could see some harmless snakes...

No fear...we didn't hesitate..

... bravely we found the way for a spot for a picnic...

We become very attentive spectators...

Inspired by our Romanian Buddha...

...everyone found their own tree...

The beauty of nature was exceptional...

It made us run for a nice photo. From left to the right...

...from right to the left.

We continued running towards the next meeting...

We reached Topalu...

As we arrived in the main square, the vice-mayor and a group of children greeted us...

...nice to meet you...

Our new group member...

...for 30 seconds it was very quite in this village, because everyone went deep within to feel Peace and harmony...

Daniela Tudor, the vicemayer holds the torch...

As a way of thanking to Topalu, we presented Daniela Tudor with paintings by Sri Chinmoy.

A final group photo...

The road is always ahead...

...whether flat or hilly.

Many thanks to the police in Romania for the great support!

A final meeting in Harsova ended our second day in Romania.

Arriving in the city hall...

..we continued inside in the assembly hall...

We passed the torch to the representative of the City Hall.

Thank you for hosting our team and all your kindness!

Our sincere gratitude to the team and all people we met today...
