The first day of the Peace Run in Spain starts in Valencia, the third largest city in Spain, next to the Mediterranean Sea and with a lot of history and beauty. As you can see, we start with a brand new torch and it is so shiny that even Aschcharja is impressed by the brightness of the torch!
El primer día de Peace Run en España empieza en Valencia, la tercera ciudad mas grande de España, al lado del mar Mediterraneo y con mucha historia y belleza. Como veis, empezamos con una antorcha nueva y está tan reluciente que hasta Aschcharja está impresionado del brillo de la antorcha !!
We started by running in the Turia Gardens. These are public gardens in the old riverbed in the heart of the city centre. The gardens have very good paths for running and walking with bikes and scooters. Our runners go so fast and full of enthusiasm carrying the torch that even the girl on the scooter is amazed!
Empezamos corriendo en los jardines del Turia. Son unos jardines públicos en el antiguo cauce del rio, en pleno centro de la ciudad. Los jardines tienen muy buenos caminos para correr y pasear con bicicletas y patinetes Nuestros corredores van tan deprisa y llenos de entusiasmo portando la antorcha que incluso la chica del patinete se queda asombrada!!

In case you haven't guessed, it is the plaque commemorating the NNN Valencia World Record Day, which took place at this facility on October 7, 2020. On this day, Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei set the new world record for 10,000m with a time of 26:11.00, while Ethiopia's Letesenbet Gidey became the new 5,000m recordwoman with a time of 14:06.62. What inspirational times!
Por si no lo habéis adivinado, es la placa conmemorativa del NN Valencia World Récord Day, que tubo lugar en estas instalaciones el 7 de Octubre del 2020, durante este día, el ugandés Joshua Cheptegei firmó la nueva mejor marca mundial en 10.000 metros con un registro 26:11.00, mientras que la etíope Letesenbet Gidey se convertió en la nueva recordwoman de 5.000 metros con un tiempo de 14:06.62. Que inspiracion de tiempos !!
