Ayr

Reported by Devashishu Torpy 5.0 km

Taking the boat from Belfast to Scotland we meet a thick wall of fog.

Thank you to Stena Line for transporting the Peace Run team.

In Ayr in Scotland, we meet our dear friend Roy Trivedy. Roy Trivedy was the United Nations representative in Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and other places. He is a great supporter of the Peace Run and received the Torch Bearer Award a few years ago.

The Peace Run have been invited to run the weekly Park Run in Ayr.

A pre-run briefing by the organisers, who welcome the Peace Run.

On the start line.

The 5K run is underway.

The run takes place in the beautiful Rozelle Estate.

This gentleman is David Logue, who competed for Northern Ireland in the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970. His discipline was the 3000m steeplechase.

After the Park Run, the whole team are invited back to Roy Trivedy's house for lunch.

Roy and his wife Teresa, share stories about their time living abroad.

This is a photo of Roy meeting with a tribe leader in Papua New Guinea.

Kristi is celebrating her 26th birthday.

A warm thank you to our amazing hosts and dear friends.
