The final day of the Finnish Peace Run takes us to the capital...
At Pitäjänmäki train station we are joined by a sporty young runner...
We run 3 km together...
Towards Munkinpuisto...
In 1986 a Peace Mile was established here, and weekly 2-mile races have been organized in the park ever since from the months of May to September. Nowadays often more than 20 runners compete each week. Last year set a record of 50 runners...
Here, while running around the Peace Mile, we are about to be overlapped by this short quick runner...
Quick as lightning he passes the group...
Catching up we race towards the finish...
Well done everyone!...
A chill-out is in order...
Forest roads in Vuosaari lead us to our first camp...
Wikström lastenleiri children's camp...
The mood is relaxed...
Until it's time for afternoon aerobics! (In sync to the dynamic World Harmony Run song)...
It's time for the torch to go around!...
One symbolic lap around the camp grounds turns into two laps...
Thank you for being a part of our world-wide team!
And it's along the foresty road again towards our second camp..
The children prepare with a moment of mindfulness...
A warm welcome in Hästholmen lastenleiri...
They are good at guessing our nationalites!...
And the torch is carried...
from the camp-house...
down a scenic rocky trail...
and back along the forest road...
Thank you for the wonderful time!
A final look at our European route...
