Everyone on the team had an early start today so we could experience the sunrise in the Valley of the Gods. 4am is well worth it to see what nature had in mind for us.
The women's team climbed up as high as possible and stayed among these giants well after sunrise.
The missing letter here could easily be an F instead of an R.
The men's team met a pilgrim with a common goal biking across America.
After finishing their miles for the day, the men's team went for a visit to Monument Valley. The Visitors Center provided as much fun as the Valley did grandeur.

The women's team made their first visit of the day with The San Juan Foundation. We were so grateful to receive such a warm welcome from the Navajo Nation. We met at the Monument Valley High School and were joined by students of all ages.
Thank you to Lisa Carr for your kind invitation and thank you Rose for greeting us and welcoming us so warmly.
Larry Holiday offered us the following prayer when he greeted us. "`Ya'aht'eeh. Ahee'lee ka'ni gha not waig hi gi Diyin Nit holoo dooleet." Hello. You are with us here on the Navajo Reservation. You are blessed by the Creator and Holy People. North, South, East, West. You are protected from all sides within the Navajo Nation.
Let the running begin!
Enthusiasm and a smile can carry anyone as far as they want to go.
