Whangamata

Reported by Daniel Rubin, Niryana Marshall 1.0 km

The Brits Day Out is an annual event in Whangamata that opens with the Maypole dance -an ancient ritual.

The MC, Peter, is very enthusiastic introducing the Peace Run team to the public.

"Art For Peace" inspired many to express their artistic talents, especially children.

The owner of this classic British car, supporting the ethos of the Peace Run.

The winning car this year, with it's proud owner.

Helen is one of the key organisers of the fête. She graciously invited us to participate in the activities on offer. Daniel and Lakshmana are sporting medals for winning the sack race.
