Our Peace Run week in Guatemala City brought us another highlight: we went to the "Colegio Capouilliez". An enthudiastic crowd of students welcomed us....
Pazala means "pass it on", paz means "peace" - a nice game with words...

We reached our next meeting: the "Guarderia Los Patitos" - a lovely kindergarten for youngest. The older children awaited us at the gate...

Both Mr. Álvaro Enrique Arzú Yrigoyen, the mayor of Guatemala City and his wife Patricia de Arzú gave us a warm welcome.
The mayor shook hands with all team members and received the flaming torch with kind words.
Mrs. Patricia de Arzú is also the head of the kindergarten and performs an outstanding job!
