Thank you to the Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Ashtabula for providing excellent accommodation for our team.
Ready for another beautiful day on the road!
Well-wishers come and hold the Peace Torch for a moment.
This peace pup took a keen interest in us from a shop window as we started our miles in the village of Madison, Ohio.
Running into Mentor, Ohio.
Tina took a u-turn after she saw one of our runners out on the road and wanted to find out what the Peace Run is all about.
Our first ceremony of the day took place at Little Scholars in Mentor.
We always start with the country guessing game!
The Little Scholars were excellent at geography!
Then we sang the "World Harmony Run" song!
Jamini taught the kids our team motto "Peace Begins with Me!"
A moment of peace.
Natabara asked the students for ideas about ways that they can make peace with the people in their lives.
We headed outside and lit up the torch.
Then passed it around for all to hold!
Playful and peaceful!
Salil presented a print of a painting by Sri Chinmoy entitled "Serve Humanity" to the Little Scholars for their classroom.
The boy on the right said that his favourite part of the Peace Run visit was "getting to hold this amazing picture", he said that he really likes art and that his favourite colour is the magenta used in this painting.
The next stop of the day was at Little Scholars in Willoughby, Ohio.
They made colourful peace doves.
More singing and moving!
We really enjoy hearing the children's ideas!
Feeling peace inside.
Off to the races!
Who will win? USA or India?
Santiva presented them with a print of a painting with the following quote:
"Peace is the indomitable respose to life's every challenge" -Sri Chinmoy
Young friends passing along the Peace Torch.
Making a peaceful wish.
The "Peace Train" passes through a tunnel.
Every day we make some new friends!
Mara is a reporter for a local print publication, we were happy to do interviews with her and to have her attend the ceremony.
