Thank you to the Holiday Inn Express in Bellingham. The complimentary rooms you provided for us are such a significant way to show your own hopes for a more peaceful and positive world.  We are extremely grateful.

Hello to the Girls on the Run!  And the YMCA Trailblazers and guests who welcomed us for our first program of the day at Lake Padden, in Bellingham.

Enthusiasm and happiness accompany the World Harmony Run song from both the Peace Run team and guests.  It was a warm up to the running yet to come.

A moment of silence...

Then passing the Peace Torch.  Everyone has a chance to reflect on what peace means to them.

Now Peace Run begins!

Thank you to Sharon for inviting us to share the Peace Run with the 'Girls on the Run'.

And thank you Jillian!  It was great to meet you and your young Trailblazers!   We know the future is in good hands when we meet young people such as these.

The women's team are able to squeeze in a few miles before our next event at...

the Sedro-Woolley Boy's and Girl's Club.

"Greetings to you, young peace enthusiasts!" Daulot Fountain, who organized the event, begins by offering a warm hello.

Preetidutta leads the kids in the World Harmony Run song.

What US state do I live in?

Passing the Peace Torch

Now we get ready for our Peace Run!

Marcel leads the way.

After our visit with Sedro-Woolley Boy's and Girl's Club, the women's team sets out again to finish their miles and to enjoy the natural beauty of Washington State.

The men's team also logs their miles.

Team Fountain take on the daunting task of running this part of the Cascade Highway and its long upward climb.

Victory achieved!

The women's team takes a well earned rest at the G9 Bakery after completing their miles in Concrete.

And make a new friend on our way to...

the Town Hall in Concrete.

The team was warmly welcomed at Concrete Town Hall by Heather from the Town Treasurer's Office and Gibson from Public Works

with a surprise greeting from former Mayor Jason Miller and now Editor of The Concrete Herald.

Thank you to the Town of Concrete for coming out to meet with us today.

And thank you Daulot for everything!

The beauty of Winthrop is no more clear than in the beautiful sky near our camping site.

Thank you Stota and Daulot for your amazing organization and running. You are invaluable teammates.
