Many thanks to Omokaroa Top 10 Holiday Park for generously supporting the Peace Run and putting the guys up for a night.Roz checked us in with warmth and a friendly smile.

Sean knows us through the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team races. He spotted the team on the road and invited us to his eatery, Vitality Kitchen.

Debbie from TOP 10 Omokaroa helped us with drying our 10 man tent in the Omokaroa Community Hall. She really showed oneness by getting us out of a tough situation.

Maungatapu Kindy listen attentively and are enthralled by the torch. Many thanks to Anna Lawless whose daughter attends the kindy. She very kindly accomodated 2 Peace Runners in her home last night.

The weather does not deter students from Selwyn Ridge carrying the torch up the hill to their waiting assembly.

Principal Craig Rice with the teachers. Craig (in green) is a keen ultra-marathon runner and has completed the Tarawera 100km and the Sri Chinmoy 12 hour Track Race.

A quiet moment - students imagining peace in their hearts. When they are happy and peaceful they can better spread those feelings to others.

Sean of Vitality Kitchen generously accomodated the team with delicious food and hot drinks. We were honoured to have local MP Cameron Luxton drop in and share a moment. We first met Cameron last year when the Peace Run visited parliament.

We stayed with the family of running coach John Bowden. Mercedes and Phoenix were enthralled by the peace torch and the stories around it. We felt well taken care of by the family, including mum Tash and oldest sibling, Jaxon. Co-incidentally we visited Te Puke Primary School the next day, which Phoenix attends.
