Deepwater - Tingha

Reported by Salil Wilson 150.0 km

Early morning on the Oakhurst Cottage farm.

A very friendly farm worker.

Gesiane started out early with some super enthusiastic company.

Fatima finds a Praying Mantis.

The girls teams finally caught Gesiane after 11 km.

Then Fatima's turn.

Maribel prepares our flower flame.

Shasti logging up the distance.

The students from Deepwater Public School had made some beautiful artistic creations.

We told the students all about our journey so far.

A moment's peace...

Now time for some skits...

Is this harmony?

Thumbs down. We do these skits to show how each one of us can make the world more peaceful – simply by how we choose to interact with each other. If we can be kind, respectful and loving, then we can help make the world a better place.

The actions to the World Harmony Run song are always fun.

Thank you so much for having us and sharing your hopes and dreams for peace.

Time for the boys team to get on the road.

We had a great time running on the Old Mill Road which was unpaved.

Salil got a big hill.

Tingha is a former tin mining town.

Tingha Public School had our video set up ready to go.

We were honoured to present our Torch-Bearer award to Colleen Graham founder of the Tingha Citizens Association.

Passing the torch.

Making a wish for peace.

Now is the time for running.

Some very happy staff!

Grahak bought everyone milkshakes.

Next we stopped in at the Grahame Park to meet some more Tingha townsfolk

Tingha has a lovely community spirit.

We even got Zooper Dooper popsicles.

Colleen very generously bought us all dinner at the Tingha Sports and Recreation Club.

The wildlife at the Green Valley Farm was fascinating.

Paramananda was feeding the peacock which came to check on things.

Special thanks to the Green Valley Farm for hosting the team.
