Grand Coulee - Spokane

Reported by Salil Wilson 93.0 mi

We started our day with a quick photo of the owner and manager of the Trail West Motel in Grand Coulee. Thank you so much for hosting our team.

Soon we were out pounding the pavement, Nayaja from Italy. was enjoying the wide open spaces.

The women's team were trying out a new form of transport.

Hastakamala, from Australia, enjoying the cloudscape and running with some exotic looking vehicles passing by.

Harita is always happy to run.

Who could resist getting a photo with this pig.

Devendra getting back into the swing of things.

We were grateful to have Daulot out in his old Peace Run Coordinator stomping ground.

Pransukh with Grand Coulee in the background.

Salil makes his last few steps before leaving the team in Spokane. He will return in Minneapolis.

Monica and Jim met us in the Wilbur Park and we had a lovely time singing Woody Guthrie songs.

Meanwhile the second women's team was still in Grand Coulee visiting with the Grand Coulee Community Church where our new found friend from yesterday, Grand Coulee City Councillor, Tom Poplawski serves as Pastor.

We really enjoyed getting to know some of the congregation.

Rupasi meets her a woman who could be her sister.

Then it was time to do some running. This time past endless canola fields.

A great day in Washington.
