On our last day in Chicago, the Peace Run had the joy of participating in the West Side Peace Parade.

We found ourselves surrounded by talented bands, dance troupes, and colorful floats in every direction!

Sevak (Edward James, center) poses for a photo with Congressman La Shawn Ford and Reverend James Coleman.

Cook County Commissioner Tara Stamps takes a moment to hold the peace torch.

Our team is at attention, in formation, and ready to go!

The runners were privileged to share the message of peace with the many spectators we encountered along the length of the parade, inviting many to hold the peace torch, and to say a prayer or make a wish for peace.

Some people had lawn chairs set up, ready to relax while the procession marched past them, smart thinking!

More families and young children make a wish for peace.

After the parade, Exodus fed us a great and yummy lunch!

We were very grateful that Pransukh decided to join the run from San Diego all the way to Chicago!  He was a steady, joyful and reliable presence throughout.

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our good friend and stellar teammate.

Devendra will also be leaving the team in Chicago!

He has been a sleepless contributor to the Peace Run, working behind the scenes as well when not physically present on the run. We will miss you!

Cute smiles are always a great compliment to the Peace torch.

Other members of the West Side Parade had the opportunity to hold the torch.

These girls were fantastic dancers!

One of our cutest and youngest spectators looks mesmerized by the peace flame, as she should be!

Expanding upon the message of peace for all in Chicago...

Aw...balancing a baby and a torch!

Same here!

After the parade, the team had the honor of meeting former Congressman Davis.

His thoughtful and meditative presence inspired us all.

Mayankini, one of our organizers from Chicago (center) listens to the former Congressman.

Going through the motions of the World Harmony Run song with the children!

Sukantika Donovan (first from the left) deserves the Peace Run's endless gratitude for organizing so many heartfelt events in Chicago!

Jeremy, a friend of the run, carries the torch as the team runs into Little Villages!

We had a ceremony at La Villita Park with members of the Little Village Community Council.

Balthazar, head of the Council, spoke of the inspiring work and community engagement of their organization.

Drilling with push ups!

Pradhan Balter shares a sweet moment with a new friend!

The supremely talented Exodus Drum and Bugle Core closes off the day!

We were very grateful they offered their talents for each ceremony!
