The first meeting of the day was at the Peace Centre ONG (Centro internazionale per la pace fra i popoli)

The President Prof. Costa recalled the long standing friendship with the Peace Run and with Sri Chinmoy. In 1998 the Peace Centre honoured Sri Chinmoy with the "Pilgrim of Peace" award. Previous recipients had been Mother Teresa, President Gorbachev and the Pope John Paul II.
Il presidente Prof. Costa ha ricordato l'amicizia di lunga data con la Peace Run e il suo fondatore Sri Chinmoy. Nel 1998 il Centro Pace ha conferito a Sri Chinmoy il premio "pellegrino di pace" a Roma. Il premio in precedenza era stato dato tra l'altro a Madre Teresa, Michail Gorbaciov e Giovanni Paolo II.
