Good morning Termoli! Sometimes its really hard to get into the right gear for the day...
Schooltime! Five schools awaited us - thousands of ethusiastic kids!
"Scuola Termoli Difesa Grande" was first...
Peace can be felt in the heart...
Our song is always a highlight...
...and so are the stamps...
...a hot-air balloon was about to be launched...
...after some start-up problems it graciously took off into the sky!
Good bye! Thanks for the great welcome!
"Scuola Principe di Piemonte" was next.
Termoli turned into one big school-party...
Big thanks! We had to move on...
...and went straight into the Elementary school in the Via Maratona - what a perfect address!
High five...
...when is it my turn?
Kids like to be on TV...
we had some time so the kids took the oportunity to ask questions...
See you again soon!
The school in the Via Stati Uniti D'America was next.
The school hall turned into a big classroom.
A song for peace...
questions and answers...
We received hundreds of peace flags...
...and brought the torch into some classrooms...
A big "Thank you" to the staff!
Our last school in Termoli: Secondo Circolo in the Via Po.
another enthusiastic crowd...
Thank you Termoli for the outstanding welcome!
Now it was time to run: a pleasant change after all the meetings...
Josef enjoyed a few fast kilometres...
...we passed vineyards...
...and we met extremely nice people...
We reached San Giovanni Rotondo - famous for the Saint Padre Pio. Runners awaited us and joined us on our run to the city centre.
A city sightseeing run...
We reached the city hall of San Giovanni Rotondo. The mayor and a crowd greeted us...
Our two guest-runners of the day!
A perfect meeting includes local specialities. What a great buffet!
...and local live-music...
...with a visit followed to a workshop for acustic guitars...
Sandro's parents prepared the perfect dinner.
Some of us definitely ate too much, but it was too good!
a sunset in San Giovanni Rotondo ended a busy Peace Run day!
