The sisters of Centro Mater Divinae Gratiae nunnery hold the torch. We enjoyed the stay in their quiet and welcoming place.
Our first school, the Mameli primary, welcomes us!
The teachers did an excellent job in introducing the run to the kids. They also managed in only two days in having the kids producing a lot of artworks and performances on the theme of peace. Congratulations!
At the event were present the Council president Laura Parenza, and the Education deputy mayor Roberta Morelli, with very strong words of support. They welcomed us already the day before in the City Hall.

They even presented us with a (very!) solid painting depicting the three that is the symbol of the school. Thank you "Mameli"!
Next is the Tridentina school...
...which participated with enthusiasm to the program.
There was a question and answer moment, where the kids interacted with us on the "backstage" of the run.
Ms. Patrizia Galeri, the director of all the three schools that we visited in Brescia was also present. She made it a point to be present at all three events!

Making our way to Lecco...
In Lecco the athletes from "Atletica Lecco" and "Canottieri Lecco" were awaiting us at the city border.
...and off towards the city hall!
The mayor of Lecco, Virginio Brivio, welcomed the run and its ideals, remarking how important it is to work together for peace.
