Yorkton - Birtle

Reported by Homagni Baptista, Pavaka Richot 154.0 km

It's a proper torch relay, after all.

Preetidutta and Oliveria were very happy to meet coincidentally Tom the former mayor of the nearby town of Saltcoats.

The team was very happy to make new friends and buy farm fresh eggs!

Brahmata in action.

Nayaja is enjoying the prairie skies!

Final leg!

Mahasatya giving it all he's got!

Our team was treated to many beautiful yellow fields of canola in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Homagni, one of our Aussie team members enters friendly Manitoba!

Pavaka's cow selfie.

The vehicle switch. The perfect opportunity to stretch one's quads and practice Gravel Yoga, as it's called in the prairies.

Prairie Pilates.

Torch with cows. There is fire a ban in much of the prairies at the moment, so we are replacing what should be a flame with field flowers.

Vasudha is chasing the grain train.  Who knows, maybe it's headed to California, where she's from!

The view from our campground.

Since we had no official meetings today, we were happy to spontaneously share our message with curious locals.

Harita,  the US team captain running strong.

We came across many herds of long horn cows.

Everyone is super excited to reach a new province.

Some of the locals look a little odd, but 100% of them are friendly.

Arthur the bull graciously accepted to be photographed with our one Manitoban team member, Pavaka.
