We were are all so happy and fortunate to start the day at 5 AM with a workout at Mahashamrat and Bavatarini's personal gym. Some of their friends have been working out with them for many years, always in the small hours of the morning. In the picture is Jim Bender who has been lifting weights in this gym regularly for over 30 years. He also led and demonstrated the exercises to the men's team. Thank you, Jim, we had a great time!

Bavatarini leads the women's team in the eraly morning workout.

Come on, Atul!

One more, Kaspars!

This is Tom, who has been working out with Mahashamrat and Bavatarini for four years now. He is also an excellent mechanic and very nice guy. Tom and his co-workers worked on our RV yesterday. It runs beautifully now! Much quieter! Thanks so much, Tom, and everyone at the shop!

With a healthy appetite we all went to Debbie's Diner for breakfast. Our new friend from last evening, Mark, generously invited the Peace Runners. Thank you and it was so nice to meet you Brenda!

Thank you, Anita, for your excellent service. We enjoyed it very much!

One last picture with the torch before we started a long, three hour drive to Coos Bay.

Time came to say goodbye to our dear friends Mahashamrat and Bavatarini. Thank you for the delicious food and an unforgettable time in your little paradise on Hummingbird Lane. All of us were uplifted by your blessingful presence. We love you very much. Thank You!

Joe Benetti, The Mayor of Coos Bay, welcomes the Peace Run Team!

Coos Bay was also the home of famous Olympian Steve Prefontaine. The Mayor, Mr. Benetti, walked with us to this mural, created in honour of the great runner.

We love running in Oregon. People honk their horns, wave, stop to say hi and cheer the runners on! We ran by hills, along the coast and forests - absolutely beautiful.

Please send us a message, we would LOVE to hear from you.
