Thank you to the Courtyard Portland Airport for generously hosting the entire Peace Run Team!

During the entire day the people of Maine cheered, honked and stopped for the runners along the road. It was fantastic!

After our first leg of running, the men's team arrived at the Ogunquit Fire Station next to the Dunaway Community Center. Town Manager Pat Finnigan received our Certificate of Appreciation.

Thank you Pat for welcoming us to your community!

Brandon Walker and...

Captain Bob Bernard also received our Certificate of Apreciation. Thank you for hosting us in front of the cleanest fire truck in Maine!

Nikolaus met two lovely families while running through York. They were very supportive and kind! All the kids put their hand on the torch.

The other men's team ran into Sam Winebaum, a life long runner, sport gear reviewer and writer of a popular blog called "RoadTrailRun"

The Southern Maine Coast is a hub for energetic runners. Many times today we were spontaneously joined by locals and vacationers.

Sweta from Nepal cheerfully ran her miles in the rain.

The women's team visited 5k for Kids- a 5km race organised by Lamprey Healthcare in Newmarket, NH.

Hastakamala introduced the Peace Run.

Thank you for holding the torch to Chris Pappas who is running for Congress- as well as running this race! Good luck!

Naomi Andrews is also running for Congress. Here she is with her father, her biggest supporter! Good luck Naomi!

This woman was the oldest participant in the race- 82 years old! She tries to take part in at least one 5km race a month. She also remembered Sri Chinmoy with great fondness from her early days of running in New Hampshire!

The oldest and youngest participants in the race- from 4 years to 82 years old!

A big thank you to the CEO and all the organisers from Lamprey Healthcare for organing the race and welcoming the Peace Run to be part of it!
