Miami

The Peace Run team has moved on to Miami, where we had a meeting with the after school club at Biscayne Park Recreation Center. A group of children and locals joined in as we gave our presentation.

Our co-ordinators and hosts for the Miami area, Drishti and Durjaya feeling peace. They have organized Peace Run events for many years and the team is well taken care of, we are grateful for all your hard work.

Sweetness is another way of creating peace and can be found in the mouth as well as the heart!

The kids were excellent when it came to the country guessing game and got all of the countries super fast. They guessed Santiva's country just from her flag- Mexico.

Learning the World Harmony Run song with actions is always a popular part of our presentation.

Santiva and Harita did a skit to show unpeaceful behavior- Harita getting pulled down by her hair!

Arpan gave our certificate of appreciation to the recreation manager at Biscayne Park, Issa Thornell. Issa told us he has worked at Biscayne Park for many years and now has children in the after school club whose parents were also in his after school club. He is a real part of the community and you could see that the kids had a great environment to spend their afternoons.

Issa led the group for a run around the field with the torch. They have a big area where the children often play different sports- ideal for our Peace Train.

The torch was passed around so that everyone could offer their own silent wish for peace.

Peace lovers of all ages

We really enjoyed spending time with such a fun, open-hearted group. Thank You to all who came along and to Issa for all your help and enthusiasm.

There is a beautiful peace garden in the park where locals can go and enjoy a quiet moment in nature.
