Saying goodbye to Comfort Inn & Suites in Mountain Grove, MO in the morning. They received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Peace Run Team for giving us shelter for a discounted price. THANK YOU!

We were very fortunate to starting our days running from our hotel to our first ceremony in heavy rain.

Fred VanBibber, the Mayor of Mountain Grove, kindly welcomed us at City Hall.

The representative from the Wright County Journal was very happy to hold the torch.

The Mayor received a Certificate of Appreciation from our Peace Run Team. THANK YOU Mr VanBibber!

The Mayor is reading out a poem by Peace Run founder, Sri Chinmoy from the certificate. 

"Peace does not mean the absence of war. Peace means the presence of harmony, Love, oneness and satisfaction. Peace means a flood of love In the world-family."

Mananya takes a moment of silence before running, to invoke inner peace and pray for protection.

Fellow peace lovers were excited to hold the torch.

Mike was happy to meet the Peace Run and wanted to hold the torch.

Running to the Boys and Girls Club Musgrave Unit,  Springfield, MO.

Some of the kids ran us into the building and we introduced the Peace Run to the kids.

The country guessing game is always fun for the students and the Peace Run team members as well.

Our Mongolian team members always give everyone a lot of joy singing a traditional childrens song.

The Boys and Girls Club Musgrave Unit received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Peace Run team for welcoming us.

They also received a copy of an artwork painted by Peace Run founder Sri Chinmoy. The artwork is entitled: "Harmony helps us to fulfill all our sweet dreams."

We went outside and everyone had the chance to hold the torch.

Everybody had the opportunity to make a wish or a prayer for peace.

Some students presented us with artwork on the theme of peace.

Happy students holding their cards they received. On the front side one can see pictures from different countries where the Peace Run took place in the last decades. On the back side there are some details about the Peace Run, there is a citation about peace from the founder Sri Chinmoy and the website address: peacerun.org

Our next visit was to the Boys and Girls Club Henderson Unit in Springfield, MO. We started the program with the "Country guessing game". Germany is there... 👉🏽

The Peace Run Team was invited for a free dinner to The Wheelhouse restaurant in Springfield. The restaurant received a Certification of Appreciation. THANK YOU for the delicious dinner!

The Peace Run team was generously offered complimentary rooms at the University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield, MO. In the picture you can see the grandiose hall of the hotel.
